TOUGALOO, Mississippi – The Louisiana Christian University men's basketball team fell to Tougaloo College, 84-57, Tuesday for their second loss of the season.
The first half of basketball between the Wildcats and the Bulldogs went back and forth. The teams entered the break separated by only three points, as the Bulldogs led 33-36.
In the second half of the game, TC would make an early run to make the score 50-37 with 14:16 on the clock. The Wildcats would add two free throws and a field goal but struggle to get their offense going, as the next five minutes they would go scoreless both from the field and the stripe.
TC would build their lead as high as 18 while the Wildcats offense sputtered.
11 Wildcat players would contribute to the scoring total, but it would not be enough to combat TC's two 20-plus point scorers, and four double-digit scorers.
LCU would finish with two double-digit scorers. Senior forward K.J. Bilbo tallied 15, and senior guard Delor Johnson had 14 of his own.
The Wildcats will be on short rest as the team will stay in Mississippi to play Wednesday at Millsaps College at 6 p.m.
