PINEVILLE, Louisiana – Louisiana Christian University faced Louisiana State University Shreveport on Wildcat Field and finished the match with a final score of 1-1. 

The game between the two Red River Athletic Conference powerhouses was relatively quiet in the first half. LCU led the way with four shots in the first compared to LSUS's one. 

The game would see a break in its scoring stalemate in the second half. In the 67th minute, Natty Essomba would score not only the first goal of the game but his first of the season.  

LCU would hold the lead for 18 minutes before the Pilots would even the score 1-1 in the 85th minute.  

Before the final horn, the Wildcats would have one more shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the Pilots' goalie came up with a clutch save.  

With the tie, LCU moved to 3-0-3 in conference play.  

LCU will play Friday, October 14 against Louisiana State University Alexandria on Generals Field.
