SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Louisiana Christian University Lady Wildcats soccer team shined in San Antonio as they did not concede a goal in a 2-0 win over Texas A&M University-San Antonio.  

The Wildcat defense dominated all match and capitalized on its play by racking up two goals.  

LCU scored first as junior forward Guinevere Borja opened the scoring for the Wildcats 41 minutes into the first half. 

The Wildcats would control the ball, but not score again until the second half when sophomore forward Emma Monnet pushed the score to 2-0 in the 78th minute. 

A&M-SA would play the majority of the match on their heels as the Wildcats attack was forceful all game. LCU would finish with a total of 27 shots and 19 on-goal. 

The team moves their record in Red River Athletic Conference play to 2-1 and 4-2 overall. 

LCU (4-2) has another game in San Antonio Saturday as they will face Our Lady of the Lake University (3-2-4) at 1:00 p.m. on Saints Field.
