Wildcats Cruise By Eagles 95-59

In their final American Southwest Conference game of the season, the Louisiana College men had zero trouble dispatching University of the Ozarks on Thursday night 95-59. It was the second largest margin of victory for the Wildcats this season. LC will play their final regular season game on Saturday afternoon at UT Tyler.

A three-point shot from Jaylen Rhone at the 17:32 mark of the first half put the Wildcats up 7-5, the final lead change of the game, as the Wildcats began their assault on the Eagles. Ozarks would get within a point with 11:49 to go but a 20-4 run by the Wildcats would put all the distance between them and the home team LC would need on Thursday night.

Jacquez Coleman capped off the long run with a trey to put the Cats up by 17 with Rex Hollis knocking down a pair of free throws to make it a 20-point advantage. Four free throws in the final 90 seconds of the half put the Wildcats up 48-21 on the Eagles.

It was more of the same throughout the second half as the Wildcats continued to convert offensively and put the clamps on the Eagles defensively. Even though the Eagles shot a respectable 48 percent in the second half, seven turnovers hurt them along the way and with the Wildcats shooting better than 50 percent from the field, the lead soon swelled to 30 points.

Five players finished in double digits for the Wildcats led by Coleman's 17 off the bench, going 5-of-9 from deep in the game. The Wildcats will have their final tune up before the conference tournament on Saturday as they take on UT Tylerl to close the regular season.
