The Louisiana College Wildcats welcomed the Spring Hill College Badgers from Mobile, Ala. for a non-conference matchup at Wildcat Stadium.
The Badgers opened up the score sheet early with one of four goals by Alexander Lipinski in the second minute of play with a one time finish past Wildcat keeper
Evan Barker.
Two other Lipinski goals followed before the Wildcats responded with one of their own.
A mistake by SHC keeper Barou Ndaw in the 54th minute lead to a Wildcat throw-in.
Leo Urumovski controlled
Jason Rodriguez's throw-in off his chest and, without the ball touching the ground, turned towards goal firing a volleyed shot straight into the near post upper 90 for his first goal of the season, making the score 3-1.
The goal gave LC life. Mustering three shots on frame before adding a second on the day.
Alex Okuma took an adventurous shot from beyond 30 yards forcing Ndaw to make a save but did not fully secure the ball and Urumovski calmly netted his second with a one time right footed shot.
The Cats were now one away from tying and changing the momentum in their favor.
That chance became smaller in the 69th minute when Tilman Schober collected the ball on the right side of LC and perfectly placed his shot into the far post's upper 90 completely taking Barker out of the play, making it 4-2.
The final nail in the coffin came almost 15 minutes later, in the 83rd minute Lipinski would tally his fourth goal of the game with a simple tap-in from Schober's cross.
Urumovski finished with four shots (3 SOG), Okuma with three shots (2 SOG), and Barker with ten saves.
The Wildcats take to the road Saturday afternoon to face William Carry University in Hattiesburg, Miss. for a non-conference matchup at 3 p.m.
