Wildcats Win Season Opener 2-0



The Wildcats welcomed their new season with a 2-0 win over the Jarvis Christian College Bulldogs in Hawkins, Texas.
 
The Texas heat was not a problem for LC scoring a goal in each half.
 
Freshman Leo Urumovski found fellow freshman Gabriel G. Lopes on top of the 18-yard box and after taking a touch curled in a left footed shot past the keeper for his first goal of the season.
 
Both sides continued to fight until the dying minutes of the second half until Sophomore Gabriel M. Lopes put the game away.
 
Being at the right spot at the right time, Lopes controlled sophomore Brandon Martinez cross and blasted the ball past the out stretched keeper for his first.
 
The Wildcats have a day to rest and enjoy their victory before facing Texas College Monday night at Wildcat stadium for the home opener at 7 p.m.
