The Louisiana College football team returns to Wildcat Stadium for the next two weeks after an exciting 35-23 victory at McMurry University last week. LC will begin their two game home stand with the annual "Battle of the Border Claw" against American Southwest Conference rival East Texas Baptist University. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. from Wildcat Stadium and can be heard live on 104.3 FM The Bridge and viewed via www.lcwildcats.net.

LC (3-3, 3-2 ASC) picked up a nice win in Abilene, Texas over McMurry last week behind a dominating second half performance.  The War Hawks scored the first and last touchdowns of the first half to hold the 17-14 advantage at the break. The LC defense held McM to just 169 yards of total offense in the second half while the offense asserted their will with almost 300 in the half, including 77 rushing yards from Aaron Woods in the fourth quarter alone to seal the victory.

The win was the third road conference victory of the season, the first time since the 2012 playoff team that the Wildcats have won three road ASC games in a single season. It was also the first time this season LC rushed for more than 100 yards in a game in their most balanced offensive performance of the season.

The Tigers are led by the conference's top rated quarterback in Brian Baca who averages 305.0 yards per game and 16 touchdowns, both ASC bests. Richard Johnson has been the primary threat for the Tigers in the passing game, catching eight touchdown passes with 639 yards.

ETBU's defense is allowing just over 420 yards per game to their opponents, in a relatively even split between passing and rushing yards. With a big play offense the Tiger defense has suffered this year being on the field more than any other defense in the conference, an average of almost 35 minutes per game.

"When you look at the stats and the players and the style of play that both teams have we are almost mirror images of each other," Head Coach Justin Charles said. "That's a good thing in a rivalry game. There's going to be a lot of excitement in the air and in our guys. Normally we have a 24-hour rule after games, win or lose, but we've been motivated for this game since 24 seconds after the McMurry game."

Saturday's game will be broadcast live on The Bridge 104.3 FM and through the station's web site beginning with the pre-game show starting at 5:30 p.m. with Rich Dupree, Doug Gann, and Al Quartemont. Live stat and video links are available at www.lcwildcats.net.

Saturday is also CenLA Appreciation Day at Wildcat Stadium where all fans will be admitted to the game for free. The support of the community is a major part of what make programs successful and in an effort to say thank you to the CenLA community the admission charge has been waived for this game.

Parking is available throughout campus on a first come first serve basis except for the reserved parking lot behind the stadium which is reserved for season ticket holders, LC Board of Visitors, and LC Trustees. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
