Wildcats Fall to ETBU 4-0

Traveling to Marshall, TX Thursday afternoon the Lady Wildcats faced the East Texas Baptist Univ. Tigers for an American Southwest Conference matchup. Two goals in each half would be too much for the Cats as the Tigers finished with a 4-0 win.

The Tigers were on the attack early and often, causing havoc for the Cat defense. In the 11th minute, Hannah Murin broke the deadlock with a neatly paced shot past Cat keeper Haley Clark.

Murin and the Tigers would return minutes later; Murin would not score but instead set up Ashleigh Rondon for one of her own beating Clark with the shot.

Murin would continue her assault on the Wildcats' goal with two more goals in the 56th and 62nd minute to make the score 4-0. Both goals were shots inside the box, the first off a cross and the second off a breakaway.

The Cats would not lay down and give up, even though they were outshot 23 to five, all five shots were on frame forcing Karrigan Falber to move while Clark finished with eight saves on the night.
