Soccer Shutout by LSU-A

The Louisiana College Wildcats men soccer team were held off the scoreboard on Tuesday night against cross river rival LSU-A, 6-0. The shutout is the sixth on the season through the first eight games.

The Generals controlled the play from the very beginning of the match, playing patient, ball control soccer that the Wildcats were unable to break. The Generals Luiz Petribu and Diego Marques combined to score five of LSU-A'a six goals with Petribu finishing off the hat trick in the 75th minute of the match.

The Wildcats were unable to hold the ball in possesion for any consistant time which allowed LSU-A to control the game and put 27 shots together and 11 on goal to LC's one opportunity.

The Wildcats will contine a tough stretch of games when they host McMurry in ASC action on Thursday and then Hardin-Simmons on Saturday, both at Wildcat Field. Kickoff on Thursday is set for approximately 6:30 and 3:30 on Saturday, following the women's games on both days.
