Lady Wildcats Finish in Draw Against Texas College

The Lady Wildcats women's soccer team finished their first match of the 2016 in a 0-0 draw agasint Texas College. The Lady Wildcats will travel to Centenary on Saturday for their first road game of the year.

Both LC and Texas College had multiple opportunities to get on the scoreboard but neither team could fully take advantage. The best opportunity for Texas College came in the 28th minute after a handball in the box gave the Steers a penalty kick but the shot went wide left of the goal.

The Wildcats had a great chance to win the game in the first over time when Lauren Bercegeay got behind the defense but her shot was turned aside by Texas College keeper Nora Cordova.

Texas College outshot LC 12-9 in the game but the Wildcats had seven corner kicks to Texas College's four.

LC will take on Centenary in Shreveport on Saturday before heading to Jackson, MS for a match against Milsaps College. Their next home game is September 7th at 5 pm agaisnt Delta State.
