For the first time this season the Louisiana College Lady Wildcats were shutout at home.  The number #11 ranked team in the country ETBU took the 8-0 win over LC in 6 innings to take game one of the three game weekend series.  The series will conclude with a double-header on Saturday starting at 12pm at Coca-Cola Wildcat Field.

With the game at 2-0 in the top of the second, ETBU was able to capitalize on one of the Lady Wildcats uncharacteristic 3 errors of the game for a 2-out, 3-run homerun to give the Tigers a 5-0 lead.  ETBU would ad another run in the fifth and 2 more in the sixth for the 8-0 win.

LC was held to 3 hits or less for third time this season.  Jayde Westbrook, Kayla Busby, and Ellen Bairnsfather provided the knocks for the Wildcats. Darian Thacker and Savannah Settle both pitched 3.0 innings in the game and allowed 5 hits each.

The series will conclude with a double-header on Saturday starting at 12pm.
