Softball Swept by UMHB

The Louisiana College softball team finished their stretch of games over Spring Break with another series sweep by the opponents, this time by Mary Hardin-Baylor. The Lady Wildcats finished the week at 0-5 for this year's break and will return to Coca-Cola Wildcat Field on April 8 for a three game series with ETBU.

In the series finale with Mary Hardin-Baylor, LC took the early lead on a double steal of second and home in the first inning but UMHB responded with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first and didn't trail again from that point forward. LC tied the game in the second on a Regan LeJeune single to left but once again the Cru answered with a run of their own. The final runs of the game for the Lady Wildcats came on a Kourtney Herrera double to left to plate Bairnsfather and Stine.

Mattie Stine went 3-4 in the game while Jordan Mason and Regan LeJeune each had two hits a piece. Taylor Leger (1-2) took the loss after pitching 4.0 allowing 6 runs on 6 hits in the game.

The Lady Wildcats return home next weekend for a three game series against ETBU. The teams will play a single game on Friday April 8 at 6pm and a double header on Saturday (Gm 1 - 12pm, Gm 2 - 2pm).
