The Louisiana College men's and women's soccer teams made their final road trip of the season on Saturday to take on the Belhaven Blazers in Jackson, MS.  Both teams were defeated in their final road contests by scores of 7-0 and 5-0 respectively.  The teams will finish the season at home this week with matches on Thursday against Howard Payne and UT Dallas.

In the women's match on Saturday the teams remained scoreless through the first 38 minutes of the game, before Belhaven found the opening goal off a blocked shot that was put in for a 1-0 lead.  Belhaven would have a 2-0 lead at halftime after a goal in the 42nd minute. LC allowed four more goals in the second half including goals on free kicks, off of corner kicks, and a penalty kick in the 63rd minute.

The Lady Wildcats were outshot 29-5 in the match, with all five of the Wildcats shots coming in the second half.  The Lady Wildcats will take on Howard Payne, Thursday afternoon at 4pm and close out the regular season on Friday at 6pm against UT Dallas for the Wildcats senior night game.

In the men's game against Belhaven, the Blazers struck first in the 27th minute on a cross to the middle of the field that was put in by Nathan Ratzlaff.  BU would add three more goals before the end of the first half in the span of just a few minutes, scoring in the 34th, 35th, and 36th minute.  The final score of the game came just a few minutes into the second half and Belhaven would finish with the 4-0 victory over the Wildcats.  Todd Ryals was also booked with a yellow card in the 81st minute of the game.

LC will take on Howard Payne on Thursday night at Wildcat Field at 6:30 pm and host UT Dallas in their senior day game on Saturday at 12pm, in the regular season finale.
