The Louisiana College Wildcats (5-8) deafed the Belhaven Blazers (2-11) on the road 69-62.

In a low scoring first half, Belhaven took an 8 point lead into halftime, winning 28-20.  The Wildcats and Blazers both shot under 38% from the field in the first half.  The second half was an entirely different story.  The Wildcats shot 59% from the field, and made 27 of 29 free throws, to lead an offensive explosion of 49 points.  The LC defense held Belhaven to 34 points, ultimately winning the game 69-62.

Anthony Gaines, Jr. led the Wildcats in scoring with 20 points.  Steve Evans had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Raheem Regis added 12 points to round out the top scorers for the Wildcats.  

The Wildcats return to Pineville on Thursday, January 21st, to face the University of the Ozarks.  The game tips off at 7:30 p.m.
