Box ScoreUpdated Season StatsThe Louisiana College Lady Wildcats opened American Southwest Conference play on Thursday afternoon at home, dropping a hard fought 2-1 decision to the Concordia Tornados at Wildcat Field in Pineville.
Â
The Tornadoes were able to gain an early advantage when Concordia's Nicole Henderson broke free in the 8
th minute of the first half and found the back of the net to give the vistors a 1-0 lead.
Â
But just as she has done all season long to this point, LC's
Jayme Harmon had an answer, as her team-leading sixth goal of the season in the 40
th minute of the first half tied the match at 1-1 just before halftime.
Â
The Tornados would not go away, however, and Maddison Hoskins' goal 15 minutes into the second half would give Concordia a 2-1 lead and ultimately proved to be the game-winning goal.
Â
The loss drops the Lady Cats to 3-3 on the season, as they will close out their current three-game homestand on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. against Mary Hardin-Baylor in an ASC matchup at Wildcat Field.
