Hardin-Simmons took control of the game midway through the first half on back-to-back baskets by Cameron Barnes to lead 30-22 with 3:00 to play and 38-31 at the break.

In the second half, the Cowboys extended that lead into double digits on back-to-back steals and scores, and led 60-48 with 11:25 in the game. When Barnes hit a jump shot in the lane, HSU had its largest lead of the game, 64-48.

The Wildcats were led by junior forward
Raheem Regis, who finished with 17 points and seven rebounds.
Anthony Gaines, Jr. was held to just eight shot attempts and finished with 16 points and eight rebounds.
Julius Jackson added 13 points, including three 3-point shots for the Wildcats who have now lost both home games this season after going undefeated on their home court in 2014-15.

Hardin-Simmons, which improved to 3-3, was led by Christian O'Neal's 19 points, seven assists and four steals. He was one of four players to finish in double figures for the Cowboys.

LC will look to bounce back Saturday when the Wildcats host McMurry in a conference matchup at 3 p.m. following the LC women's game.
