The Louisiana College women's soccer team ended their season on a high note on Saturday afternoon, as the Lady Wildcats downed the Howard Payne Lady Yellow Jackets 1-0 in Brownwood, Texas in the regular season finale.

The Lady Wildcats lone goal of the match fittingly came from a senior, as Haley Gilmore scored her first goal of the season in the second half to lead LC to the win.

LC got some outstanding defense from freshman goalie Haley Clark, who stopped all 14 shots on target that she faced during the match to earn the shutout.

The two teams were deadlocked at 0-0 at halftime before Gilmore was able to break through and find the back of the net in the 51st minute in the second half to clinch the win for the Lady Cats.

The Lady Wildcats finish the season at 5-14 overall.
