The Letourneau Yellow Jackets got all of the offense they needed in the opening moments of Friday afternoon's matchup against the Louisiana College men's soccer team, as they shut out the Wildcats 3-0 to secure an important American Southwest Conference victory.
 
Louisiana College would surrender the first goal of the matchup to the Jackets when Noah Peters handled a pass from Chris Marquez in the fourth minute of the first half then flicked the ball to the top left of the net to put Letourneau ahead 1-0.
 
Despite a valiant defensive effort by the Wildcats the rest of the first half, that goal proved to be enough for the Jackets, as they scored twice more in the second half to take the 3-0 shutout win.
 
Marquez and Jae Huemoeller scored the other two goals for the LeTourneau, both coming in the second half.
 
The Wildcats (1-10 overall, 0-5 in ASC play) will continue their east Texas road swing on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. against East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas.
