The Louisiana College Lady Wildcats dropped a heartbreaking 1-0 decision to the Sul Ross State Lobos in overtime on Thursday at Wildcat Field in Pineville, narrowly missing out on their first American Southwest Conference win of the season.
 
The Lady Wildcats were dominant defensively the entire match, holding a 17-4 advantage in shots and an 8-2 advantage in shots on goal during regulation time.
 
But the Lobos took advantage of one of the very few scoring opportunities they had during the day, as their first shot of overtime snuck past LC keeper Haley Clark just 12 seconds into the period to give SRSU the 1-0 win.
 
The Lady Cats were led offensively by Jayme Harmon, who registered seven shots on the day, including two shots on goal.
 
LC (3-8 overall, 0-4 in ASC play) will begin a tough three-game road trip on Saturday when they travel to Texarkana, Texas to take on Texas A&M-Texarkana at 2 p.m.
