Dylan Brewer's three-pointer at the buzzer before halftime closed out a exceptional first half that saw the Wildcats take a 40-19 lead into the locker room.
The Wildcats did not let up the rest of the way out, as they closed out the 75-62 win with 10 different players getting at least 10 minutes of action during the contest.
Anthony Gaines, Jr., who led the Wildcats defensively with three steals, set the tone early in the second half, as he ignited the crowd at the "The Fort" on LSU-A's campus with a thunderous dunk to finish off a fast break after coming up with a steal near halfcourt off a pass from UT-Tyler's Anthony Morales.
That dunk, which came less than a minute into the second half, showed the Wildcats were determined not to allow the Patriots to get back into the game, as LC shot nearly identically in the second half (46.9%) as they did in the first (47.2%).
The Wildcats athletic perimeter defense also led to a 27-16 advantage in points off turnovers.
Steve Evans, who missed most of Tuesday's game against ETBU after being poked in the eye, showed no signs of slowing down, as he led LC with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists on the night.
LC moves to 6-6 overall and 6-3 in ASC play with the win, placing them fourth in the conference standings. They will take on The University of the Ozarks (6-8 overall, 3-7 in ASC play) on Saturday at LSU-A with a chance to catch Mary Hardin-Baylor for third place in the conference standings.
