A tough luck first half that included an own goal by Louisiana College's Curtis John covered up what was otherwise a productive and hard fought nonconference Saturday night matchup against former American Southwest Conference rival Mississippi College. 

The Choctaws took a 2-0 lead into halftime after the own goal and a goal in the seventh minute by Ewahia Amhanesi, which was all MC would need to pull out the victory, as the Wildcats were shutout for the first time all season. 

The Wildcats (2-2 on the season) will face Huntingdon College next Thursday in Montgomery, AL at 3:00 p.m.
