Playing traditional ASC power Texas-Tyler in a non-conference matchup on the road in Tyler, TX, the Louisiana College men's soccer team battled the Patriots to a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes of well-played soccer from both sides.

The Patriots would score the match's first goal in just the sixth minute of the contest when Trevor Self scored off an Austin Fletcher assist to put UT-Tyler ahead 1-0.

The Neves-to-Neves connection would then bring the match to the eventual 1-1 final 12 minutes later when Rodrigo Neves scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season off an assist from his brother, Renato Neves, in the 18th minute to bring tie things up.

The two teams would play the remaining 72 minutes of regulation to a draw before heading into overtime.

The Wildcats would control the action for both overtime periods, as they did not allow a shot by the Patriots in either period.

LC's Curtis John would have a shot to end the match in the first overtime period, but a great save by UT-Tyler keeper John McGuffin kept the Patriots alive.

The draw brings LC's record to 3-3-1 on the year, as the Wildcats will prepare to play their final non-conference match of the year on Saturday against LeTourneau before ASC play starts the following week.

The Wildcats and Yellow Jackets will square off at 3 p.m. in Longview, TX on Saturday.
