The LC Lady Wildcats downed LeTourneau 11-3 on Saturday afternoon to sweep their series against the Lady Jackets and notch their fourth consecutive conference sweep.
 
The Lady Cats busted the game open in the top of the third inning with a two-run home run from first baseman Sandra Ouchley and a three-run home run from freshman designated hitter Kimber Gruehl. It was Gruehl's first career home run for LC and highlighted an eight hit, eight run inning that all but secured the win for the Lady Wildcats.
 
Ouchley and shortstop Meagan Pearson would both collect three hits on the afternoon, while third baseman Laura Gulotta-Parrish led LC with four hits of her own.
 
Freshman left handed pitcher Taylor Leger picked up the win, while sophomore pitcher Nancy Bunting was outstanding in relief for the third straight game of the series, tossing 4.1 scoreless innings while giving up just two hits.
 
The Lady Wildcats move to 12-1 overall with a perfect 12-0 ASC record. They will travel to Belton, TX on Friday to take on Sul Ross in a doubleheader beginning at 4:00 p.m.
