Box Score
The Louisiana College Lady Wildcats, led by Stephanie Jaeger's first career two home run game, downed Sul Ross 8-0 on Saturday afternoon to complete the series sweep and maintain their perfect record in ASC play.

The Lady Cats opened the game with back-to-back triples by outfielder Emorie Nugent and Jaeger, as Jaeger's drove in Nugent to put LC on the board first. Jaeger then crossed the plate on a sac fly to right field by Sandra Ouchley to give Mark Rosier's club a 2-0 lead after one inning.

Jaeger would add another RBI in the top of the second inning when she drove in Candice Biggs with a single and was followed by Meagan Pearson, who drove in Chelsea Allen with a sac fly to left field to give LC a 4-0 lead.

After Nugent flied out to start the top of the fourth inning, Jaeger struck again with her third long ball of the season.

The senior second baseman was not through just yet, however, as she followed Laura Gulotta-Parrish's two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning with a leadoff solo home run to start the sixth inning that put LC up by the eventual final score of 8-0.

It was Jaeger's first career two home run game as a Lady Wildcat and part of a 4-for-4 day at the plate that included four RBI, and three runs scored.

Taylor Leger continued her outstanding freshman campaign in the circle in the series finale, as she tossed a complete game two-hit shutout to move to 7-0 on the season, stating her case once again as an early-season favorite for ASC Freshman of the Year honors.

The Lady Wildcats moved to 15-1 overall with a perfect 15-0 mark in conference play as they remain at the top of the ASC standings. They will host Birmingham Southern on Monday in a doubleheader slated to begin at 3 p.m. before playing at home on Friday in an ASC matchup against ASC opponent Hardin-Simmons.
