The Louisiana College Lady Wildcats extended their winning streak to 11 games with a doubleheader sweep against the Sul Ross Lobos as they banged out 25 hits and scored 35 runs to remain perfect in conference play and continue the best start in school history.

Game One Box Score
Game one was highlighted by a
Courtney Ivey three-run home run in the top of the first inning and 12 run second inning that put the game away early in favor of the Lady Wildcats.

The second inning was highlighted by a base clearing three RBI double by LC senior shortstop
Meagan Pearson that was followed by another RBI double off the bat of first baseman
Sandra Ouchley. Ouchley would come around once again in the inning and deliver a two out, two RBI single that provided LC with their final runs of the day.

Pearson finished game one 2-for-2 with five RBI and three runs scored while Ivey and Ouchley both drove in three runs a piece.

Freshman left handed pitcher
Taylor Leger was outstanding in the circle once again as she moved to 6-0 on the season by tossing three innings while giving up just one hit and one earned run before handing the ball to sophomore
Nancy Bunting in relief. Bunting finished the game by throwing two solid innings, giving up three hits and one earned run.

Game Two Box Score
LC would go on to win game two by a final score of 19-1 by bringing home five runs in the first, second, and third innings before bringing home another four runs in the fourth inning to close out another dominant day of softball.

Pearson provided the early spark yet again, as she ripped a two RBI double in the top of the first to get the scoring started and was followed by another Ouchley RBI single, a
Candice Biggs RBI double, and a sacrifice fly to right field by
Abby Maillet that scored
Laura Gulotta-Parrish and gave LC the early 5-0 advantage.

Biggs would add another big boost to LC's offense in the top of the third inning with a two out, bases clearing, three RBI triple to put the Lady Cats ahead 15-1.

LC's four run fourth was capped off with another home run off the bat of
Courtney Ivey, this a solo shot that gave the Lady Cats a 19-1 advantage in what would ultimately be the final tally.

Biggs finished game two with one her finest days in an LC uniform, going 2-for-4 with a team-high five RBI. Pearson finished 2-for-3 with three runs scored and five RBI while Ouchley, Ivey, Gulotta-Parrish, and Maillet all drove in two runs a piece.

Pearson drove in a total of nine runs and scored six runs on the day.

Maillet was solid in the circle in game two as well, as she tossed the final three innings in relief of starter Madison Vige and gave up just three hits while not allowing a run to move to 5-0 on the season.

The Lady Wildcats now sit at 14-1 overall with a perfect 14-0 mark in ASC play for the first time in school history and have now outscored their opponents 148-34 on the season in 15 games. The two teams will square off again in a single game beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning in Belton, TX.Â
