A first minute goal by Howard Payne set the tone in Louisiana College's season finale on Saturday afternoon in Brownwood, TX, as the Yellow Jackets scored their second win of the weekend with a 3-1 victory over the Wildcats to clinch a spot in the ASC Tournament.

HPU's Enosh Griffin scored just 27 seconds into the match, as he nailed a shot from in the box off an assist from Kevin Ruiz to jump ahead 1-0 in the first minute of the match.

The Wildcats would fight back to tie the match in the 33^rd minute, as Matheus Fullini took a pass from Boneco Bazil and scored from inside the box to tie the match at 1-1.

However, just as the HPU women did in the match before, the Jackets were determined with their playoff hopes on the line, as Ruiz scored unassisted just two minutes after Fullini's goal to put HPU back on top 2-1 going into the half.

The Jackets would score their final goal in the 50^th minute of the second half, as Jacob Moore drilled a penalty kick to clinch HPU's 3-1 win.

The Wildcats, despite being outscored 3-1, held a 14-13 advantage in shots while HPU held a 9-6 advantage in shots on goal.

Louisiana College finished the season 6-9-4 overall with a 1-5-3 record in ASC play.
