Kristine Arceneaux would give the Lady Cats a chance to take an early 1-0 lead, but her shot in the second minute of the match was saved by Tornado keeper Kila Hartom to keep the match scoreless.
The Tornados would get off to a hot start from there, as Nicole Henderson scored Concordia's first goal in the seventh minute of the match off an assist from Meagan Brown and Lena New.
Concordia would add to their lead with two more goals in a 70 second stretch later on in the first half, as Alex Price and Jordan James would both find the back of the net in the 24
th and 25
th minutes, respectively.
Brown assisted both Price and James on their goals to give her three assists on the day.
Despite a well-played second half both offensively and defensively for the LC, the Lady Cats were unable to mount a comeback, as Concordia scored their last goal in the 84
th minute to give them the 4-0 win.
The Lady Cats (0-8, 0-2) would get a much needed six day break before they hit the road for back-to-back ASC matchups against LeTourneau on Friday at 5 p.m.and Texas-Tyler at 5 p.m. on Saturday.Â
