The Wildcats would use a big second half from
Pedro Silva to come from behind for the second night in row, as the sophomore forward proved once again why he is one of the conference's rising stars, as he scored two goals in the final 45 minutes.
The Tornados took a 1-0 lead just over four minutes into the match, as Erik Bigon snuck past the Wildcats' defense to score CTX's first goal off an assist from Matthew Butler.
That, however, would be the only shot that the Wildcats would allow to Concordia the entire night, as the LC defense completely shut down the Tornados attack for the final 85 minutes of the match.
The Wildcat, despite being shut out during the first half, would come out in the second half on fire, as Cesar Romo tied the match at 1-1 in 51
st minute off an assist from
Matheus Fullini.
Just 16 seconds later, Silva would score his first goal of the night off an assist from Romo to give the Wildcats their first lead of the night.
Silva would strike again in the 68
th minute as he took an assist from Fullini and beat the CTX defense to give LC the 3-1 win.
LC moved to 5-3-2 with the win, which matches their best 10 game start in school history, joining the 2012 team who started off with an identical record.
The Wildcats will be off until next Friday, as they hit the road for an ASC weekend, starting with LeTourneau at 7 p.m. on Friday and follow that with a huge conference matchup against Texas-Tyler on Saturday at 7 p.m. Â
