Box Score Box ScoreUpdated Season StatsA big second half from the Comets propelled #24 UT-Dallas to a 6-1 win over the Louisiana College women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium as part of "Senior Day" ceremonies for the Lady Cats.
UT-Dallas would score their first goal on a penalty kick by Taylor Belcher after Belcher was taken down in the box by an LC defender in the fourth minute of the first half.
The Lady Cats would have an answer in the 39th minute, however, as they tied the match at 1-1 with a header goal by senior
Erin Biggs off of a beautiful corner kick by
Jayme Harmon.
For Biggs, who had previously scored two goals in her four year career, it was her second goal in as many days, as she also scored against the Ozarks in Frday's 4-1 win.
But the 24th ranked Comets showed their offensive fire power less than two minutes later, as Millie Atkins gave UTD the lead in the 40th minute with a go-ahead goal off of a Samantha Huston assist to put the Comets up 2-1 at the half.
The second would belong to UTD, as they added four goals in the final 45 minutes to move to 10-2-1 on the season and add to their lead in the ASC standings.
The Lady Wildcats (1-11, 1-5) will play a non-conference matchup against Centenary on Tuesday in Shreveport before heading to Marshall, TX on Friday to take on rival ETBU in an all-important ASC contest at 6:00 p.m.
