Rodrigo Neves, the Wildcats once again struggled offensively, getting off just five shots during the match compared to 21 for the Comets.
Comet forward Omar Jaroun would break the scoreless match in the 22nd minute when he found the back of the net off an assist from Sam Konstanty.
After holding the Comet attack scoreless the rest of the half, UTD would come out firing in the second half, as Jason Horvath would score less than two minutes after the start of the half to go up 2-0.
Michael Matthews would then put the game out of reach when he scored in the 49th minute to put the Comets up 3-0 before Jaroun and Andrew Jenson added goals to bring the score to the eventual final of 5-0.
The pair of losses on the weekend home stand drops LC (5-5-4 overall, 1-2-3 in ASC play) to a tie for sixth place with ETBU (3-6-2 overal, 2-4 in ASC play) in the ASC standings. With the top six teams eligible for the ASC Tournament, next Friday's match against ETBU in Marshall, TX will have huge postseason implications for both the Tigers and the Wildcats.
