Box Score
Despite getting out to a hot start, the Louisiana College men's basketball team was unable to finish off the Cowboys of Hardin-Simmons University, as the wildcats dropped their second straight road contest by a final score of 71-63.

LC got out to a 17-6 lead at the 12:23 mark of the first half and a 23-13 lead with 8:47 left in the first half.

But a 10-2 run by the Cowboys tied the game at 25 when HSU's Cameron Barnes hit a free throw at the 4:42 mark, which gave the Cowboys the momentum they needed to take a 33-30 advantage into the locker room at halftime.

Despite fighting back to tie the game at several points in the second half, the Wildcats were unable to ever take the lead back, eventually falling by the 71-63 final score.

In an extremely rare occurrence, both teams shot exactly 42.9% for the game as both went 24-56 from the field. The difference was the Cowboys performance on the offensive glass, as they grabbed 17 offensive rebounds to outscore the Wildcats 14-9 on second chance points.

LC sophomore forward registered a double-double, leading the Wildcats with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore guard Kevin Lewis also reached double figures in scoring for the Wildcats with 13 points and seven rebounds.
