Box Score
A sluggish first half of shooting was the difference in Saturday's ASC matchup between Louisiana College and UT-Tyler, as the Wildcats fell to the Patriots 90-70 in Tyler, TX.

The Wildcats shot just 28.6% in the first half, going 8-28 from the field. That included a season worst 1-11 from behind the three-point line, which allowed the Patriots to get out to a 39-19 lead heading into the locker room.

While LC did respond with a strong second half where they shot 54.8% (17-31) from the field, UTT was seemingly able to match them basket for basket, as they shot an outstanding 63% (17-27) from the field in the final 20 minutes.

LC's sophomore trio of Kevin Cottonham (13 points, four assists), Kevin Lewis (14 points, three rebounds) and AJ Gaines, Jr. (19 points, four rebounds) all scored in double figures on the afternoon.

UTT was led by Jordan Cannon's near triple-double, as the star guard went for 22 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds.

With the loss, LC now falls to 8-5 on the season with an 8-3 mark in ASC play. They will return home to take on LeTourneau in an important ASC matchup in the H.O. West Fieldhouse on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
