The Louisiana College men's soccer team completed a perfect opening weekend of ASC play with a 2-1 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday afternoon in Belton, TX.

The Wildcats wasted no time taking the lead as
Fellipe Albuquerque put LC ahead 1-0 with his third goal of the season.

The Crusaders would battle back to tie the game 1-1 with a goal by McKenna Cook just before halftime in the 38
th minute.

The game would remained tied into late into the second half when
Phillip Borde found the back of the net in the 85
th minute to give LC a 2-1 lead, which was the eventual final score. It was Borde's second goal of the season and the second time in as many days that the Wildcats were able to score the game-winning goal in the final 10 minutes of the match.

The win brought LC's record back to .500 on the season at 5-5 and a perfect 2-0 in ASC play. The Wildcats will return home from their weekend road trip on Thursday as they take on LeTourneau in a 7 p.m. matchup at Wildcat Field.Â
