Game One Box Score
Game Two Box Score
The fourth ranked UT-Tyler Patriots used dominant pitching and timely hitting to down the LC Lady Wildcats in both games of Sunday's doubleheader in Tyler, TX.

Four UT-Tyler runs in the first two innings was too much to overcome for the Lady Wildcats in game one, as they fell 4-1 in the first game of the rare Sunday twinbill.

Heather Abshire led the way for the Patriots, as she went 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBI and picked up the win, tossing 4.1 innings and giving up one earned run to move to 14-1 on the season.

LC's lone run came on a home run by junior shortstop Meagan Pearson to left center field in the fourth inning.

Stephanie Jaeger and Emily Douglas had nice days at the plate, as both 2-for-4 in game one.

UT-Tyler pitcher Kelsie Batten was the story of game two, as she carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning before Emorie Nugent picked up a single with no outs.

Batten would finish with a complete game one-hitter while striking out three to shutout the Lady Wildcats.

The Lady Wildcats moved to 18-9 on the season with the pair of losses, 9-7 in ASC play. The same two teams will square off on Tuesday in a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. at Coca-Cola Field in Pineville.
