The fourth ranked UT-Tyler Patriots used dominant pitching and timely hitting to down the LC Lady Wildcats in both games of Sunday's doubleheader in Tyler, TX.
Four UT-Tyler runs in the first two innings was too much to overcome for the Lady Wildcats in game one, as they fell 4-1 in the first game of the rare Sunday twinbill.
Heather Abshire led the way for the Patriots, as she went 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBI and picked up the win, tossing 4.1 innings and giving up one earned run to move to 14-1 on the season.

UT-Tyler pitcher Kelsie Batten was the story of game two, as she carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning before
Emorie Nugent picked up a single with no outs.
Batten would finish with a complete game one-hitter while striking out three to shutout the Lady Wildcats.
The Lady Wildcats moved to 18-9 on the season with the pair of losses, 9-7 in ASC play. The same two teams will square off on Tuesday in a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. at Coca-Cola Field in Pineville.
