Playing their final doubleheader before their showdown with #3 Texas-Tyler, the Louisiana College Lady Wildcats split a doubleheader with Millsaps on the road in Jackson, MS, dropping game one 1-0 before taking game two 10-0 in five innings.

Leslie Eastham took the loss in game one despite throwing a gem, throwing a complete game and giving up only two hits while striking out five. Her only run was given up when a failed pickoff attempt advanced Caroline Tho to third base and eventually scored on a Kaitlyn Dole RBI sac fly.

LC managed just two hits in game one off Millsaps pitcher Emily Collins, who went all seven innings to earn the win.

Game two was a completely different story, as the Lady Wildcats took advantage of five Millsaps errors to put up three runs in the second inning and followed with seven runs in the fourth inning to earn the 10-0 win.

Senior left fielder Meggie Burkett finished game two 1-for-3 at the plate with two RBI and a run scored. Emorie Nugent also drove home two runs and scored two runs.

Freshman pitcher Nancy Bunting earned the win, throwing four innings and giving up just two hits and striking out three.

LC's record now stands at 18-7 on the year as they prepare to face Texas-Tyler on Sunday at 2 p.m. in a doubleheader that will take place in Tyler, TX.
