Game Two Box Score
Getting just one day of rest after dropping a doubleheader on the road against #4 Texas-Tyler, the Louisiana College Lady Wildcats fell once again to the nationally ranked Patriots, this time dropping game one 7-1 before coming up short in the nightcap 5-3.

The Patriots took an early 1-0 lead in game one before LC catcher Courtney Ivey tied the game 1-1 with an RBI double down the right field line in the fourth inning, scoring Jessica Taylor.

Texas-Tyler would answer right back in the top of the fifth with four runs on four hits, led by Joey Cronin's three RBI triple to center field. The Patriots would add two more in the top of seventh inning to give them the 7-1 win.

The Patriots would again take an early lead in game two, as a three-run first inning put the Lady Wildcats in an early hole.

But LC would scratch back with an RBI double by Meagan Pearson in the bottom of the first inning and an RBI single by Sandra Ouchley in the fourth inning to make it 3-2.

But Joey Cronin would again start a rally in the Patriots' half of the seventh inning as she doubled with one out and eventually scored on a Raven Rodriguez single to left field. Rodriguez would then score on a Heather Abshire sac fly to make it 5-2.

Abby Maillet drove in Laura Gulotta-Parrish with an RBI groundout to third base in the seventh inning, but that was all the Lady Wildcats would muster, as they fell 5-3 in game two.

The pair of losses dropped LC's record to 9-9 in ASC play, 18-11 overall. The Lady Wildcats will take on LSU-Alexandria at home on Friday for the first time in program history in a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.
