The Louisiana College men's team, with a spot in the 2013 ASC Tournament already clinched, had their final tune-up before the postseason begins on Saturday in Clinton, MS, dropping a 4-2 decision to ASC-leader Mississippi College.

The Wildcats were able to strike first in the match, as freshman
Rodrigo Neves took over the team lead in goals with his seventh of the season off an assist from
Pedro Silva to give LC a 1-0 in the 38
th minute.

LC took that 1-0 lead to halftime, but four consecutive goals on the second half for the Choctaws were too much for the Wildcats to overcome.

MC's Francisco DeAnda scored in the 57
th minute to even the score 1-1. Victor Marinho then gave the Choctaws a 2-1 lead on a goal in the 65
th minute off an assist from Brian Vasquez.

MC would then add two more goals in the final ten minutes of the match from Harrison Russell and Garrett Head.

Neves would add his second goal of the match, and eighth of the season, in the 89
th minute off an assist from
Phillip Borde to bring the score to the eventual final tally of 4-2.

LC finishes the regular season with a 9-8-1 overall record and a 6-3-1 mark in ASC play, good for fifth place in the ASC's overall standings. The Choctaws finish the regular season with an 11-3-3 overall mark and with their 6-0-3 record in ASC play are the 2013 ASC Champions.Â
