Wildcats win streak snapped with 3-0 loss to UT-Tyler

Coming into Saturday's contest a perfect 3-0 in ASC play, the Louisiana College Wildcats were unable to seize any kind of momentum in a 3-0 loss to undefeated UT-Tyler at Wildcat Field.
 
The Patriots were able to get off to an early start Diego Gutierrez was able to score unassisted in the 8th minute to give UT-Tyler a 1-0 lead.
 
David Lopez-Molinar then added another goal in the 21st minute to give the Patriots a 2-0 lead going into halftime.
 
The Wildcats would hold the Patriots down over the course of the next 65 minutes, but when Erik Sanchez scored off of an Elijiah Shipman to give UT-Tyler a 3-0 lead, the Wildcats' proverbial balloon was all but deflated.
 
The Wildcats, missing one of their top players in forward Phillip Borde, were unable to get many solid looks offensively, getting off just five shots and 2 shots on goal.
 
The Patriots were able to move to 4-0-4 on the season with a 1-0-1 mark in ASC play. The loss drops LC's record to 3-1 in ASC play and 6-6 overall.  By ASC rules, the two teams are now tied for 2nd place in the ASC standings behind Mississippi College. The Wildcats will hit the road next Friday to take on Hardin-Simmons at 4 p.m. in Abilene, TX.
