Box Score
An unbelievable two-minute stretch in the first half of Friday's match between The Ozarks and Louisiana College was the highlight of the afternoon in a 2-2 draw after two overtime periods between the Eagles and the Wildcats.

Ruben Mendoza, playing in his final home match for the Wildcats, scored his first goal in the blue and orange as he handled a pass from fellow senior Caio Sousa and finished left-footed after the ball deflected off of Ozarks' keeper Austin Benner to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute of the first half.

The Wildcats would keep that 1-0 lead until the 24th minute when an offensive explosion from both teams would change the face of the contest.

The scoring began when the Ozarks' Nick Johnson scored off of an assist from Eloy Salgado to tie the match 1-1.

The Wildcats would immediately answer 30 seconds later, however, as Zach White would score his second goal in two games, finishing in the box after Phillip Borde found White with a cross after a free kick from Fellipe Albuquerque set up the Borde for the assist.

The assist brought Albuquerque's season total to seven, which ties him for the lead in the American Southwest Conference.

That goal regained the lead for LC at 2-1, but the Eagles were relentless and just one minute later Gage Merritt would break free from the Wildcats' back line and score a beautiful left footed goal from 30 yards out to tie the match at 2-2.

Both teams would go scoreless the rets of regulation and through two overtime periods, as the draw brought LC's record to 9-7-1 overall and a 6-2-1 mark in conference play.

The draw places LC in sole possession of fourth place in the ASC standings, but more importanty, the Wildcats have clinched a spot in their first-ever ASC Tournament. The Wildcats will have an opportunity to take down current ASC leader Mississippi College in their season finale next Saturday in a match that is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
