The Louisiana College women's soccer team, coming off of a huge road win over Howard Payne, was unable to overcome an early deficit to rival East Texas Baptist, dropping 2-0 decision on the road on Thursday night in Marshall, TX.

ETBU broke the scoreless tie in the 32
nd minute when Paola Bear scored on a header off of a corner kick from Christina Robles.

Robles would then add another assist four minutes later when she found inside the box before Miller finished to give ETBU a 2-0 lead at the half.

The Lady Wildcats would get off two good looks early in the first five minutes of the second half, but ETBU's Christina Salas was able to turn both away, denying LC a chance at tying the match.

LC keeper Miranda Williams, who came in at halftime, played well in the second half, holding ETBU's scoreless in the last 45 minutes of play.

The loss drops LC's record to 4-10 overall, 2-5 in ASC play. The Lady Wildcats will return home on Thursday October 24
th at 5:00 PM for a big ASC matchup against Texas-Dallas at Wildcat Field.Â
