Despite Saturday's last second, heartbreaking 25-22 loss to #6 Wesley College, the Wildcats actually moved up in the D3Football.com national Top 25 poll, checking in this week at #23. 

This is the first time that the Wildcats will enter a game ranked in the D3Football.com Top 25 since November 5th of last season when they were ranked #20 headed into the McMurry game. The Wildcats were #25 in last week's AFCA Top 25 poll, which comes out Monday.

Wesley College remained firm, as they hold onto their #6 ranking from last week. Mary Hardin-Baylor, LC's October 13th opponent also held onto their spot from the previous week, checking in at #2 nationally.

The Wildcats, now 2-1 on the season, will open up American Southwest Conference play this Saturday against Howard Payne, who they defeated a year ago 42-14.
