CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – The Louisiana College men were unable to build on the momentum they established in last Saturday's win over LeTourneau. Thursday night, at American Southwest Conference opponent Ozarks, the Wildcats 83-64.
The difference in the game came at the lines, both free-throw and three-point.
LC (7-12, 7-10 ASC) shot just 50 percent from the charity stripe and 19 percent from three-point range (including seven percent in the second half).
Meanwhile, Ozarks (8-14, 5-12 ASC) shot 92 percent from the free throw line, 50 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point range.
Ozarks' Bryton Flint led all scorers with 27, shooting 10-for-15 from the field and 3-for-5 from three-point range, off the bench.
Louisiana College was paced by
Doc Welch (Alexandria, La./Alexandria Senior HS) with 14 points and
Romanaski Williams (Bunkie, La./Bunkie HS) with 11.
The Wildcats return to action Saturday with a visit to ASC East Division-leading Texas Dallas.
