BELTON, Texas – The Louisiana College softball team's strong start to the 2012 season continued here Saturday as the Lady Cats split with Mary Hardin-Baylor to move to 3-1 on the young season.

LC fell 5-4 in eight innings in game one but rebounded to tough out a 3-2 win in game two.

Sophomore Stepanie Jaeger went 4-for-7 on the day  while senior Devan Greene went 3-for-8 and sophomore Emily Douglas 2-for-7 with three RBI on the day to lead the LC offense.

Freshman Tori Davis picked up the win in relief in game two. Junior Jordan Waldroup took the loss in game one pitching a complete game.

LC returns to action next weekend with a trip to the annual American Southwest Conference First Pitch Tournament in Farmers Branch, Texas.
