Using the combination of tight defense and solid three-point shooting, the Cru quickly built a double-digit lead that was never threatened the rest of the game. 

Mary Hardin-Baylor led 35-28 at the break and then put the game away with 67-percent shooting in the second half (18-of-27). 

Meanwhile, the Wildcats struggled from the floor, shooting only 29-percent in the first half (8-of-28) and 34-percent overall (20-of-59). LC was also again out-rebounded 41-31. 

The Wildcats had only two players in double figures. Junior Doc Welch led the way with 14 points while freshman Anthony Gaines added 12. Freshman Kevin Lewis also provided a spark off the bench with nine points and two steals in 18 minutes of play. 

The Cru was led by Thomas Orr's 15 points while James Allen added 13 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
