The Louisiana College men's basketball team continued to show improvement on the young 2012 season despite dropping an 82-80 decsion to Sul Ross on Thursday night in Alipine, Tx.
The Wildcats were led by senior
Romanaski Williams, who scored 20 points in only 19 minutes of action on 9-14 shooting from the field before fouling out.
Senior
Shaun Johnson added 19 points, while
Doc Welch added another nice evening with 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
The difference in the game for the Wildcats came at the free throw line, as LC shot just 3-10 from the chariety stripe, while the Lobos went 17-28.
Gene Rushing's squad did have a very nice night shooting from the field, however, going 35-72 for the game, including a 33-63 (53.2%) performance in regulation.
The Wildcats, now 0-3 (0-1 in ASC) will play Saturday against Howard Payne in Brownwood, Tx. at 3 p.m.
