The 2012 Louisiana College Lady Wildcats closed out their season just one win shy of holding the single season wins mark all to themselves after a 3-1 loss to Centenary on Tuesday night in Shreveport.

The Lady Wildcats were actually able to get ahead of Centenary very early on in the match when CC's Hannah Bate had a shot bounce off of her and go into the net for an own goal, assisted by LC's Anna Champagne.

That 1-0 lead would last until the 24 minute mark of the first half when Carly Slovensky scored her first of two first half goals, which carried Centenary to a 2-1 halftime lead.

Madison Alexander would put the match away in the second half in the 57th minute when she beat a diving Emily Breaux , who was attempting to come out to make the save.

The Lady Wildcats also bid farewell to two phenomenal student-athletes, Emily Breaux and Julie Mckay, who played in their final match as collegiate athletes.

Breaux, who will go down as the most distinguished player in the history of the LC women's soccer program, finished with 3 saves.

Despite the two goal differential, the game was actually much closer in all other areas, as the Lady Wildcats were only outshot by Centenary 11-10, while allowing only one corner kick.

Bruce Deaton's squad finishes the season 5-11-2, which ties the single season win mark previously set in 2007.
