Box Score
PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana College men's basketball team fell behind big in the first half and never could quite get out of the hole in a 75-64 loss to McMurry.

LC (4-6, 4-5 American Southwest Conference) trailed by as many as 20 in the game but still managed to pull within six of the War Hawks (9-3, 5-3 ASC) with less than four minutes to play.

Tough sledding from the field for the Wildcats, who shot just 36 percent on the night, and an amazing rebounding performance by McMurry – the War Hawks outrebeounded LC 63-31, spelled the end of any comeback.

LC seniors JeLani Mitchell (St. Martinville, La./St. Martinville HS) and Jarrod Jackson (Albany, La./Albany HS) scored 14 and 15 point respectively to lead the Wildcats.

McMurry was paced by a 19-point, nine-rebound game by Steven Jones and a 13-point, 14-rebound game by Dominick Walker.

LC returns to action Thursday with a visit to conference foe East Texas Baptist.
