PINEVILLE, La. - A tropical storm and road trip highlighted the Lady Cats' Labor Day Weekend. Unfortunately, Louisiana College's women's soccer team fell twice, losing 5-0 to Spring Hill at home on Saturday and 7-1 to LSU-Shreveport on Monday.

The win and the rain did few favors to LC, which got just one shot on goal compared to Spring Hill's 19 in a 5-0 loss.

Emily Breaux was the bright spot for LC, making 14 saves.
Monday, the Lady Cats' had a far better showing, playing LSU-Shreveport, another NAIA opponent, to a 1-1 tie in the first half before surrendering six goals in the second.
In that contest, junior
Martha Means connected on hir first goal of the season, unassisted, and Breaux made 18 saves.
LSU-Shrevport had a better showing, though, and took the win thanks to four goals by Brooke Martin.
LC's women return to action Saturday at 3 p.m. against Hendrix College, an NCAA Division III opponent from Conway, Ark.
