ABILENE, Texas - The Lady Cats scored a season-high in goals but took a 5-2 road loss Friday afternoon at American Southwest Conference opponent McMurry.

The Lady Cats struck first and took a 1-0 lead on an unassisted goal by freshman Keagan Kelemen in the 19th minute but four straight goals by the War Hawks turned the tide in the contest.

Freshman Bailey Williams put in a goal in the 82nd minute off an assist from Morgan Burlew to salvage a portion of the game.

The pair of goals scored was the highest offensive output for Louisiana College since last season's match against McMurry and Kelemen's goal snapped a four-game scoreless draught for the LC.

Junior Emily Breaux had 10 saves in the game for the Lady Cats.

The LC women will next face defending national champion Hardin-Simmons Saturday afternoon in the second half of a two-game conference road trip.
