Box Score
PINEVILLE, La. - The Louisiana College men's second American Southwest Conference contest was the rare defensive thriller. Heartstopping saves by keepers and defenders alike and late slight misfires were the norm as the Wildcats played the Texas Dallas Comets to a 0-0 tie Friday night.

Louisiana College keeper Eric Post made eight saves on the night while Texas Dallas' Steve Nicknish made six but both keepers were aided mightily by tenacious defenders in this contest.

Louisiana College (1-3-1, 0-1-1 ASC), led by defenders Claudy St. Louis and Peter McLean, were able to limit the shots by Texas-Dallas (3-0-2, 1-0-1 ASC) throughout the contest.

Late in the first 10-minute overtime, disaster seemed destined to befall LC. Post came out of goal to make a save but a bad bounce gave Texas Dallas an open net at which to shoot.

Luckily for the Wildcats, St. Louis bounded in front of the net and turned away a point-blank shot to force the second overtime.

By rule, after two 10-minute overtime sessions, a game is deemed a tie.

Next up for LC will be a Tuesday afternoon trip to Mississippi College where the Wildcats will paly their first road game of the season, a conference match against the Choctaws that will begin at 4 p.m.
